Systems Administrator

A Systems Administrator is responsible for the effective & efficient provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of server systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. In addition, this covers the adoption of processes and procedures guarantying the implementation of system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures that adheres with technology direction and policies. ‘-Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. -Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. -Performs daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary. -Performs regular file archival and purge as necessary. -Creates, changes, and deletes user accounts & groups per request. -Grants and removes access to server and related resources. -Investigates and troubleshoots minor issues. -Provides Level 2 support per request from end users. -Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. These are the main responsibilities however may not be limited to these alone:

* Department leadership support including schedules management, correspondence/email management and telephone call management.

Design, develop, execute and maintain software to test the product/application
Define automation strategy, automation cases as well as Design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing in a programmatic manner

Field Engineer

The current job is the implementation of the new Zetron system in Companys OCC (Operations and Customer Center) and the installation of the Zetron media dock component in the RCC (Reliability Center). Zetron is the air to ground radio and phone system used by the OCC and ATL Radio.

The project is in two locations. At the RCC, the contractors will be removing the current and installing the new peripherals, as well as doing the necessary cable management and hookup of the new peripherals to the Zetron media dock.

At the OCC, the work consists of deinstallation of current Zetron at 199 positions and the subsequent installation of the new system at 225 positions. The schedule of work in the OCC will depend on the final cutover plan to be determined in the next two weeks. It is currently planned as 8 hour shifts, 5 days per week, working a rotating schedule Sunday through Saturday; the start times are unknown currently but likely to be 0600.

At the RCC, the equipment to be deinstalled and installed includes:
1. Speakers
2. Headsets
3. Handsets
4. USB hubs
5. Cabling for the items above.
6. Connection to the new media docks and jackboxes.

The equipment to be deinstalled and installed at the OCC includes:
1. Shelf unit to hold console
2. Console workstation (W10 MoM)
3. Media Dock
4. ACU unit
5. Jackboxes
6. Cable extenders
7. USB hub x2
8. Cable manager x2
9. Speakers
10. Handset
11. Headset
12. Monitor
13. Ethernet cable from port key through tray and slat wall to console workstation
14. Power cabling from floor through the tray and slat wall to console workstation
