As an Accommodation Program Manager (PM) you will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance for all aspects of corporate accommodation policies, programs, and guidelines relating to equal opportunity (EO) and supports company Rules of the Road and Flight Plan by assisting employees to continue their careers through reasonable accommodation.
The PM will operate within the accommodation policies and processes that meet employees needs and complies with federal and state laws and regulations.
The PM will manage religious accommodation requests, including gathering documentation and reviewing requests, communicating with the employee and operational and HR leaders; evaluating requests; providing guidance to leaders and HR; recommending accommodations; drafting correspondence; tracking results; analyzing data; and recommending process improvements.
The PM will provide medical Alternative Position Assistance (APA) to employees, which may include comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services. Will conduct job analysis, identify appropriate reassignments, evaluate work abilities, and partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners and operational leadership to reassign employees to appropriate positions. Actively manages APA services.
The PM will manage FMLA appeals, including gathering information; communicating with the TPA, operational and HR leaders, and employees; drafting correspondence; tracking results; and analyzing data.
Experience / Skills
Minimum qualifications
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles.
Associate degree in vocational rehabilitation, human resources management, or in a related field of study or 5 years of experience in evaluating accommodation options, HR functions, or talent acquisition.
Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, strong management presence, adaptability and have the ability to work successfully across business unit lines and at all levels.
Must have the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
Should be able to think strategically, lead and influence decision making and be able to build and maintain effective relationships.
Should be able to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure with complex issues within established time constraints, meet deadlines and objectives.
