This contract position will support the Client Health, Wellness and Ergonomics team in developing and managing existing injury prevention projects and programs, coordinating training programs, assuring effectiveness, and analyzing injury data and trends for our Front-Line agents to reduce Global Injury Rate and Lost Work Days. This role will work within the Client Ground Safety team, to develop and lead injury prevention solutions to support reduction of musculoskeletal injuries and return-to-work programs in our ground operation. The Air Lines Airport Customer Service division supports over 30,000 front-line employees. This position reports directly to the Manager Client Ergonomics. Up to 30% travel is required.
Specific functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Direct large scale injury prevention projects
Managing sustainability and continuous improvement of ergonomic training programs
Data collection and analysis, performance tracking, and reporting
Travel assessments and site visits across domestic operation
Administer training programs on an as-needed basis
Collect and organize feedback to develop action items
Lead industrial tools and tech projects
Utilization of SafetyNet, (Vistaire) reporting system to pull ongoing injury data and cases
Elevate safety and enterprise risk to leadership as needed

The Aircraft Support Mechanic position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems is preferred. Candidates must pass job related tests which are designed to determine aptitudes and abilities to perform essential job functions. Tests are administered based on protocol and procedures. This position requires the ability to read and write English and the ability to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. This position also requires candidates meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds. As required by the FAA for all persons in safety-sensitive positions, candidates selected for this position are required to pass an extensive background check, drug test, and hearing test.
Successful completion of BMAR required
No A&P License required.
Responsibilities:
The Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) is part of the Component Maintenance team within TechOps. In this role, you will perform or assist in the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft components to help ensure safe, on-time departures of fleet of aircraft and the fleet of other companies who have selected as their maintenance provider. You will be expected to utilize appropriate tools, chemicals, and equipment safely to effectively and efficiently accomplish shop/aircraft related functions. You will be required to learn all maintenance utility processes and functions within the shop and be willing to help out where necessary. This requires that you be a team player and actively participate in identifying process improvements and cost savings initiatives. To be selected for this position, you must have a working knowledge, understanding, and familiarization with approved manuals and procedures. In addition, you must have the knowledge of and ability to perform appropriate computer functions in order to provide documentation to ensure that maintenance records, parts tracking and costs are accurately recorded. You will be required to adhere to all policies and standards. Please note this position is subject to 24/7 operations to include shift, weekend and holiday coverage. Will be operating machines (small machinery) and mostly hand tools (air/electric).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
Must have a safety-first mindset
Must be proficient in written and oral communication
Demonstrated project management experience and strong organizational skills
Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Smartsheet and PowerPoint
Basic data management skills

Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
A bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Allied Health or other Occupational Health related fields
Certified Athletic Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Professional Ergonomist or related Human Performance certification
Experience in industrial operations, health care, occupational safety
Project/program management experience
Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
