One of the Renowned Airline Infrastructure & Operations is seeking multiple mid-level Oracle Database Administrators (DBA) to assist with the 2024 Exadata Workload Redistribution IT Risk Project. Beginning in mid-April the DBAs on-boarded for this project will be aligned with one of the 5 DevOps Squads and will have primary responsibility for coordination and implementation of database moves, either from Exadata to commodity hardware or from one Exadata machine to another. We plan to use primarily DataGuard for these moves, but some applications with very low tolerance for downtime may need to have replication temporarily set up via GoldenGate. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and possess strong organizational and both written and spoken communication skills. A qualified Oracle resource would have 3+ years of administration experience, specifically in deploying and troubleshooting Linux-based ASM, RDBMS, RAC, and Active DataGuard solutions with versions 11.2 and newer, and with 19c Oracle GoldenGate homogenous uni-directional replication using Classic Architecture. Experience with AWS RDS and EC2 is also a requirement for the participation in the DevOps Squad. This is a limited 9 month engagement for a specific funded project and is not intended as a contract-to-hire position. The resources will not be part of any on call rotation as they will be dedicated to this effort. These are intended to be off-shore resources and there is no requirement for travel. -Performs database recovery from logs, hot & cold backups, Export/Imports and Disaster Recovery. -Performs database creation decommissioning and database updates/migrations to a higher/lower version or cross platform migrations. Also involved in database, schema, and object refresh activities. -Monitors and reports existing database Instance, Database, Server activities for CPU, Memory, and Cach, logs performance, and recommends effective resource utilization/emergency recovery procedures
-Provides Escalation Level 2 Technical 24x7 support. -Performs Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery activities during Business Continuity Plan events. -Plans, schedules, and implements operating system software installs and patches (including 3rd party tools) using change management and release management processes.
