Reporting to a General Manager, performs advanced, diversified and confidential secretarial and administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and procedures. Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc. May initiate routine and some non-routine correspondence and memoranda. Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meeting and travel itineraries and participates in related arrangements. May track and transcribe dictation. May prepare and distribute minutes of meetings. Operates Windows-based software and assists in developing, implementing and monitoring internal business systems and procedures. Administers filing system. Monitors and orders office supplies and common office purchases using purchasing account. Completes and submits vouchers and expense reports (Concur) and process invoices. Screens telephone calls and visitors and resolves routine and some complex inquiries. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

HR Generalist will be expected to understand Company's Workers Compensation/Disability/Leave Programs and associated corporate health and welfare guidelines in order to pinpoint possible failures or service trends that hamper the effectiveness in processing of claims. They will utilize daily reports and internal company HR systems to identify potential areas for service failures in the disability and leave processes to mitigate risks. Contact employees, vendors or other parties as designated and provide corporate leave policy and disability plan oversight to ensure that employees and vendors have a seamless experience. Report to and work closely with members of the Claims Management team for direction.

Must have the ability to prioritize and work independently. Must possess the ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) corporate leave processes to internal customers and vendors. Has a basic understanding of MS Office suite of products.

Quals--
Requires advanced computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and proficiency in Windows-based applications like Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Must be team-oriented and able to coordinate activities across multiple departments working closely with administrative assistants in other areas. Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff from frontline employees to executive staff. Knowledge of corporate business processes and procedures such as payroll, benefits, reimbursements and expense reporting, purchasing and departmental budget preferred. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to direct the activities of others. Detail skills necessary to ensure that information is accurate and correct, that documents are grammatically correct, and that work is completed in a timely manner. Ability to coordinate the schedules of multiple aspects of projects completed by separate staff members or vendors is required. Organizational/leadership skills necessary to develop office procedures, prioritize and schedule work activities of self and others and balance multiple assignments with limited direction.
